This week was a small break from the Hunter's Journal project. I wanted to do some smaller projects before the year ended, and I was getting frustrated with the roadblocks I kept running into with the Hunter's Journal. Following up on the research I conducted last week about my jukebox, I took a look at it at home and found that the power cord was a little faulty and the solder was slightly damaged. The fix was surprisingly simple, considering how long the jukebox had been broken. I just replaced the power cord and fixed the solder on the board connected to the power to the rest of the boards. (I did have to use a makeshift solder tool because it was the weekend and I didn't have access to the shop)

Coming back Monday, started looking for something else to do for the week. I found a small box-ish bookcase that I like, so I wanted to make one for myself. The model didn't take long, but I wanted the box to be able to split into two shelves for more space. So, I stretched the box taller than the reference. I didn't get a lot of time to work this week due to me being out sick on Tuesday, gym, and tests for the next two days. The little puzzle piece connections took the longest amount of time out of the whole

My laptop broke in the middle of the week, so I brought it in to see if I could fix it in the Shop. After I opened up the laptop and looked around for a bit, I saw the problem. The charging port of the laptop it's is broken, meaning that I can't charge it at all. I cleaned what I could and just decided to take it to a real repair shop, because we don't have the resources to fix it in school. After trying(and failing) to fix my laptop, I switched over to working on the bookshelf. I moved the sketches to Inkscape and did a quick test cut on the laser-cutter. I completely forgot that some books are taller than 5in, so I had to move the inner shelf up to fix my notework(what I was using to test if books would fit). I have to resize the model a bit, but I need to keep in mind that the wood boards we use aren't that big. The bell rang for gym before I could get started, but I believe I can get this done by mid-next week, as this isn't a big project.
