Week of 5/5 - 5/9

This week was spent working on a mix of different projects. The start of the week was spent banging my head against the wall that is the Hunter's Journal project. I replaced the faulty resonator from last week and tried to upload the code again. Guess what happened?! It DIDN'T WORK! I still don't understand why it wouldn't upload the code to the Breadboard Arduino. Everything is made right and everything that should get power is getting power, plus the cord I'm using to connect the BA to the computer works fine. It should work but it doesn't. I researched the error code I keep getting when the upload failed and everywhere I looked said either components are faulty or to reset the computer to try it again. I checked the components, they're fine and work on their own and resetting the computer did nothing. Basically all of Monday was spent just attempting to get the code to upload with no success.

After that failed Monday, I switched gears. Deciding to give the code a bit of a break and find something small to work on for the week. I fully finished up the journal part of the Hunter's Journal. Which was pretty simple, just gluing and cutting till I was happy with the design. There's a few changes I can't make if I want to keep the journal able to open and close without problems. Wednesday was a half-day for us, so I didn't have a lot of time to do stuff that day. A couple of the caps for the stray-paints were clogged, so Mr.Christy asked me to unclogged them. It took all of that day to clean them, as I had to remove the little rubber cover inside the plastic heads. The gap between the two were filled with dried paint, which is what caused them to be clogged; also the gap was really small, so it took some time to get it removed.

I didn't really want to go back to working on getting the Hunter's code to upload as I was still really frustrated with it. I remember that it was Mother's Day with upcoming Sunday, so I decided to work on a gift for my Mom. She has talked about wanting to get a key bowl (a bowl made for keys specifically) and I thought I could surprise her with a custom made one. I wanted to go for a steampunk theme for the bowl, mostly because I really like that type of punk and didn't want to leave it a plain bowl. I was able to model half of it by the end of Thursday. I plan on hopefully to finish the model and print it out by the end of Friday.
