This shortened week was spent mostly working on the Ender 3D Printer Case. I cut out all of the printer case pieces and assembled everything at the start of this week. While testing the printer inside the case, the machine couldn't home properly, hitting the back wall and making a concerning noise. So I measured the size of the printer bed and outlined it along the back wall. I copied the hole on the CAD model and decided it would be easier to just re-laser-cut the back wall entirely than risk breaking the put-together case wall with a bad cut.

Wednesday and Thursday were spent on the Printer itself as a major problem I've discovered last week is that the filament wouldn't stick to the bed, even with glue on the bed. I spent some time researching what could be the cause of it. Two possible causes came up; the bed was unclean and the nozzle was so far from the bed. Both of these causes happened to be true. The filament was also looping as it came out of the nozzle, and that was just because the nozzle needed to be cleaned. So, Wednesday was spent just cleaning the entire machine to make sure everything would be working properly.

The following day was spent re-homing the printer as the nozzle was too far from the bed and causing unnecessary problems. That day I also started to remove the adhesive used to hold the printer case together as the back wall needed to be removed. I spent some time trying to find some helpful prints for the Ender printer like a filament guide and bed scraper. I did a test cube print when the machine was re-homed and the filament actually stuck, but there were still problems. The bottom part of the cube was stuck onto the bed, the opposite of the problem I was having. Also, the printer seems to be under-extruding prints, I'll have to spend some time trying to find a solution because I haven't a single clue on how that can be solved. I've also finally gotten my hands on some leather to use for the actual journal part of the Hunter's Journal, so I started to print out the little details I modeled a while back (using the shop printers, not mine). I plan on fixing the under-extrude problem by the end of Friday and at least cutting out the new back wall of the case.
