Week 3/24 - 3/28

This week was kinda short for me due to missing a day and having gym. I started off the week by finishing the blade for the rapier I was making last week. I had to remake it but I didn't know that spray-paint tends to melt foam and I ruined the first attempt at the blade. Spent all of Monday making the second blade, from cutting it into the right width for a rapier to sanding down the edges to make it smooth. I also finally 3D printed the pommel at the bottom of the handle.

Tuesday was spent working on a case for my new 3D printer. The Shop is dismantling the old one and giving me a new, honestly better, one. I plan on making this case much smaller than the one I was making before, with the wooden part of the case only covering the bottom half of the printer. Planning on also making an acrylic cover for the rest of the printer but I'm not so sure I want to follow through with that plan. I managed to mode mostly everything in one day.

I was out Wednesday, so nothing was done there and we had gym the following day. I finished modeling the case in CAD and worked on transferring them to PDFs. All of the bottom parts of the case managed to fit onto one cardboard piece, so Laser cutting was easier this time. By the time I put the cardboard together, it was time to go to the gym and I wasn't able to do anything else. I plan on deciding if I'm going with the acrylic cover and at least, making the final wooden cuts.
