This week was a pretty simple week. For most of the week I worked on designing a wooden art book that my grandmother got me a few weeks ago. The design I had in mind was basically making a painting into 3D. I did some searching and in the end I just deiced to make my own small painting to cut out instead of doing some famous one. I model the Box in CAD and started modeling the pieces for the paintings but after talking to Mr.L for a bit, I decided to model/draw the pieces in Inkscape because Inkscape doesn't work well with Fusion's spline tool unless it's done in the program.

The whole process of drawing in Inkscape took around 2 days to finish because I had to keep going back and changing somethings. I engraved the bigger pieces of the painting onto the box itself because it wouldn't fit on the laser-cuter along with the rest of the pieces. I glued the pieces down Thursday, really the project's done. Well, the side of the project I can do in shop; as I need to paint everything still but that's something to be done at home. I'm just planning on cleaning up box, sanding and stuff, before finishing it at home. I have a few ideas of a new project but something finalized yet.
