Shorten Motor Work (week of 3/17)

Hello all! This week in shop for me was very short, as I was only in for like a day and a half. We didn't have school Friday and I was sick Monday, so I didn't much time to do stuff but I was able to make some process done on the CAD side of the clock. I've hit a wall in repairing the machine that Business & Marketing gave us due to the motor. Without farther ado, let's dive into the week!
I was out sick on Monday so my week started on Tuesday, which I imminently dived back into fixing the Marketing machine. My first attempt at soldering the wires to replace the old plug didn't go so well. The solder was messy and I had to cut the heat sink covers just for it to fit over the solder. I didn't like it at all and was pretty sure it wasn't going to work if I moved forward with that solder so I restarted. The second attempt went way better than the first attempt. I firstly got larger heat-sinks so that they actually fit over the solder. The second solder was better and able to actually fix within the heat-sinks. I got everything for the wires finished but the motor wouldn't turn on when I plugged it in. Me and Mr.Christy though that the motor was able to turn freely as it looked like one of those motors but it wouldn't move even a tiny bit. Mr.Christy told me he would look into what type of motor that was and to focus on something else in the meantime.
That meantime focus is the same as what I did for Wednesday, which was working on the frame for the gears within the mechanical clock. The box where the gears will sit is more like where I will store the gears and I haven't put in it to help the gears stay in place. I plan on making a frame that will also connect to the frame of the planets at the top of the box. Getting the measurements for the inside circle of the gears I have in place was a bit tricky as they aren't perfect circles. I had to go a project all of the circles which took a while due to me having to click on each of the lines that make them up. I've also made a quick model of an idea I have to make the planets move by planing them on different gear platforms that will spin around the main center gear in the time that they're suppose to be in, like one will make a full rotation. in a minute while the other makes a full rotation in an hour. I wasn't able to do more than that as I had a doctor's appointment that day which resulted in me getting dismissed early. I hope to finish the at least basic shapes of the frame by Thursday's end and maybe finish fixing the Marketing machine.
